Occupational health and safety for businesses in Beroun

The Beroun area lies on the D5 motorway between Pilsen and Prague. Besides limestone quarries and lime works, there are manufacturers and warehouses linked to the motorway.

Beroun is about 45 km as the crow flies from Hromnice, and we travel to clients in the Central Bohemian Region. Travel costs depend on the vehicle – a van carrying fire extinguishers has a different rate than a car with a technician. You will always see the travel cost in the quote in advance.

What to watch out for in operations typical of the Beroun area

Mining and energy involve work at height, heavy machinery and dusty or noisy environments. We help with classifying high-risk work, with measurements and with work categorisation.

In manufacturing and engineering, most of the work concerns machinery risks, noise and manual handling of loads. We prepare the risk assessment, local operating rules for machinery and the categorisation of work, including data from measurements.

In warehouses and logistics we deal with forklift traffic, racking systems, traffic routes and manual handling. We also set rules for drivers and external hauliers on site – read more in our article on health and safety in warehouses.

Who inspects your company

Compliance with health and safety rules in the Central Bohemian Region is checked by the Regional Labour Inspectorate for the Central Bohemian Region. Work categorisation is assessed by the Regional Public Health Authority of the Central Bohemian Region. We prepare the documentation so that it stands up to an inspection, and we know what inspectors ask about most often.

Frequently asked questions

Does a company in Beroun need its own OHS technician?

No. If a company has more than 25 employees, risk prevention tasks must be carried out by a competent person (OZO) – either an employee or an external technician. We perform this role for companies, and we help smaller companies set up health and safety so that they can manage it themselves.

What if a workplace injury happens at our company?

Call us. We will help with reporting and recording the injury, find out the cause and propose measures so that it does not happen again. You can find more details on the Workplace injuries page.
