Occupational health and safety for businesses in Klatovy

Klatovy is the natural centre of the south-west of the Pilsen Region on the way to the Šumava mountains. Local businesses are mainly manufacturing and craft workshops and farms, joined by accommodation and restaurants for tourists in the Šumava foothills.

The Pilsen Region is our home region – Klatovy is about 50 km as the crow flies from our base in Hromnice. Travel costs depend on the vehicle – a van carrying fire extinguishers has a different rate than a car with a technician. You will always see the travel cost in the quote in advance.

What to watch out for in operations typical of the Klatovy area

In manufacturing and engineering, most of the work concerns machinery risks, noise and manual handling of loads. We prepare the risk assessment, local operating rules for machinery and the categorisation of work, including data from measurements.

In agriculture, the most common sources of injury are machinery, work with animals and chainsaws. We train operators and complete the documentation for seasonal workers.

Hotels, spas and restaurants combine the risks of kitchens, laundries, cleaning and wellness facilities. We set up personal protective equipment, training and procedures for seasonal staff.

Who inspects your company

Compliance with health and safety rules in the Pilsen Region is checked by the Regional Labour Inspectorate for the Pilsen and Karlovy Vary Regions. Work categorisation is assessed by the Regional Public Health Authority of the Pilsen Region. We prepare the documentation so that it stands up to an inspection, and we know what inspectors ask about most often.

Frequently asked questions

Does a company in Klatovy need its own OHS technician?

No. If a company has more than 25 employees, risk prevention tasks must be carried out by a competent person (OZO) – either an employee or an external technician. We perform this role for companies, and we help smaller companies set up health and safety so that they can manage it themselves.

What if a workplace injury happens at our company?

Call us. We will help with reporting and recording the injury, find out the cause and propose measures so that it does not happen again. You can find more details on the Workplace injuries page.
